After an introduction by Pier Francesco Galli, an intervention of the Italian anthropologist Tullio Seppilli (1928-2017) at the 7th International Congress of Psychotherapy (Milan, August 25-29, 1970) is reprinted. It is argued that the breaking of conservative stereotypes and taboos of psychotherapy may run the risk of substituting them with new taboos that are opposite and similar to the previous ones.
