This article focuses on the issues dealt with at the conference and training course .stori@. History in the digital age (Piacenza, 7-9 March 2013), organized by the Milan central INSMLI in collaboration with the local ISREC. Crucial topic the relationship between history teaching and the new technologies, a relationship gravid with brilliant promises but also delusive myths, most often handled with difficulty by a teaching personnel rather unfamiliar with the new technologies, apart from the structural deficiencies of our school system. The highly frequented and intriguing sessions included lectures by scholars of international stature, workshop meetings diversified according to school levels and discussion forums open to all participants.
