In the last years cocaine has become the most popular drug after cannabis. Also the social image of cocaine has changed overtime. While only few years ago cocaine was considered a drug only for affluent people, now it is seen as a drug for mass-consumption. Moreover, among the consumers risk-perception has decreased, even if there is plenty of scientific evidence about the dangerous health consequences of this substance. Such a social transformation calls for new analytical models, new prevention approaches and new treatments.
