Creativity and innovation are viewed as overlapping constructs, nevertheless a number of scientists are claiming the need to distinguish between them. Although innovation may be strictly linked to creativity, they are not the same. Creativity is a key component of innovation at each stage of the innovation process. Innovation is an important framework within which creativity flows, making it possible to integrate research results and inspiration into the organizational process. The aim of this review is to define the main aspects of the two constructs and the relationship between them.
