Comorbidità psicopatologica e qualità della vita in pazienti affetti da distonia neurologica - Psychopathological comorbidity and quality of life in dystonic patients The authors’purpose is to provide a scientific literature review about psychological aspects related to dystonia. Furthermore the authors’aim is to identify the main specific and non specific psychometric instruments mostly used to investigate quality of life in dystonia. The attention for this aspects arise from the results of recent studies that recognize in the social and psychological variables the factors that could accelerate the onset and increase the dystonic symptomatology in terms both of frequency and intensity. In the same breath, the empirical evidences concerning some changeableness in the efficacy of the main symptomatic therapies are guiding the researchers’ interest to the study of stressful live events that could aid to determine different outcomes of the treatments. Key words: dystonia, quality of life.
