A useful tool to explore the ecological stability and the biodiversity preservation of an environmental system is the so-called ecological graph. Starting from the data furnished by such a graph, a dynamical model is here proposed to study the time-evolution of the biological energy developed by the system itself. Moreover the stability analysis of the model, that consists in a system of differential equations, is investigated. Finally the model has been applied to a real case, Monforte d’Alba, a village in the countryside of Piedmont Region, obtaining the model variables evolution and their behavior towards stability.
