The article arises from a moment of group supervision, after the discussion of a patient who arrived in therapy from an internet contact. This case generated in all of the participants some reflections on the characteristics of patients who contact a psychologist through telematic instruments, the role of the psychologists in the therapeutic relationship, deontology in the therapeutic process, the risks to keep in mind. The reflection proposed in the article points principally to two central themes: one linked to the world of young psychologists, to their need of making themselves known and finding patients while maintaining a balance in proposing themselves, in describing a clear role without risking the underestimation of their own image and that of the profession, conserving an ethical and deontologically correct approach. The other is linked to the world of the patient and to the formulation of a request for help made with an "atypical" instrument according to the orthodox world of psychology.
