Experts have demostrated the importance of social determinants for human health. People in need are the most vulnerable because they are more frequently exposed to social risks and have less social resources for dealing them. Social vulnerability affects health through a multifactorial process. Exposure to risks, stress, social-evaluative threats and low social cohesion are related to each other as well as with social inequality.
