The author presents a case in which emerges the difficulty to draw a line between psychosis and radical adherence to mysticism. The case presented urges questions and reflections on the possibility of a job without memory, desire and understanding in the treatment of severe cases. The most important therapeutic factor was represented by the intuition of the existence of a dimension that was "out of the body and beyond the mind" and sharing an interest in mysticism. The perception of the patient to be "elsewhere" has allowed the author to reach her out and create with her a subject with its own life and capable of intimacy that has changed the emotional and unconscious reality of both.
