Supervision is a central aspect of the complex psychoanalytic psy-chotherapy training and, as such, reflection on this specific issue af-fects psychoanalytic institutions at multiple levels. The author describes some problems that the area of supervision, in psychoanalytic psychotherapy training, presents due to changes in the rules concerning the specialization in psychotherapy, in the population of students and in the forms of implementation of the internship experience. Through a detailed excursus, aspects of change and continuity are outlined in the way of understanding and approaching supervision. In particular, the need for an "alliance" of training actors, within the Specialization School, is emphasized, which requires cultural, emotional and, more specifically, theoretical-clinical conditions suitable for a new scenario. By analyzing the theoretical construct of "learning alliance", the work outlines, from different perspectives, the conditions of a fertile and creative training process that concerns the field of supervision.
