The 2017 Italian non profit organisations reform Act has eventually recognised that non profit organisations deserve their own legal status and that they expressly are aimed at pursuing public goals. The 2017 reform has also provided for a wide range of activities of general interest, including tourism, which are to be geared to the achievement of public aims. Against this legal background, the article analyses the legal aspects of associations operating in the tourist sector as well as their special partnership agreements with public authorities, which are aimed at forstering the sustainable development and tourism promotion.
