The Court of Justice has been able to protect the principles of the rule of law pursuant to art. 2 TEU, in particular that of the independence and autonomy of the Judiciary, based on the application of art. 47 of the Charter of Rights and art. 19.2 of the TEU. Compliance with the rule of the law has also become a prerequisite for states to enjoy the resources of the Union. A new phase of the integration process has developed based on convergence on fundamental values, which will greatly depend on the cooperation and dialogue between national courts and the Court of Luxembourg. .
