Geopolitical of the Production of Value. Inquiry as a Form of Struggle - The essay starts from the argument on redeploying the value chain and thus on the new geography of international division of labor. The becoming increasingly important in this context of Asian powers and the increasing importance of the brand in the command on work and in the geo-capitalistic extension of value, are intertwined with the workers’ inquiry , the themes around which revolves the present contribution.

I temi del cognitivo, del simbolico, dell’immateriale, del servizio, dell’informazione, della conoscenza si sono spesso contesi il primato di interpreti concettuali più efficaci dell’emergente capitalismo post-fordista. Il volume porta dentro il più generale dibattito socio-lavorista contemporaneo alcune delle proposte teoriche più significative a riguardo, e pone l’attenzione al paradigma della rete, che nella letteratura sul postfordismo è divenuto oramai un tema ricorrente e centrale.

It is not limited to factories anymore, but it has occupied the area of consumption and, above all, the dimension of imagery. Brands are undergoing a double transformation: the spreading of manufacturing on a global level and the capitalistic subsumption of both consumption and imagery. The production scale of brands is changing as well, for the reason that areas such as China and India are making the scene as vertical weaving factory and horizontal spaces of worldwide consumption. A new work division is thus created, where areas and districts of small enterprises are competing internationally. Trough the dynamic of districts it is possible to measure the issues stated previously and therefore to evaluate if transnationality can be faced, managed, and produced according to the product lifecycle as realized by districts.
