The area around the Chiesa San Vito in Pasquirolo, located in the center of Milan, offers an interesting aspect on the controversial relationship between the approach to urban planning and architectural heritage conservation in the first half of the twentieth century. Those years were characterized by an attempt to govern the city’s growth through the formulation of suitable planning tools and according to the needs of reconstruction after the damage resulting from the Second World War.
