Affido condiviso e violenza nei legami intimi ABSTRACT: The IPV, Intimate Partner Violence, is a social problem that can significantly impact the victim’s health and the development, at short and long term, of children who are exposed to such violence in their homes. We present an illustrative clinical case of conflict family where children are witnesses of parental abuse and these children have an active role in the conflict. This article suggests reflecting about violence in intimate relationship, about the Italian Law on the shared custody, about coparental responsibility and about child’s opportunity to be listened. The expert consultation asked by the Judge (CTU) for children’ custody represents an opportunity for the child to be listened in his real needs. Sometimes such needs are hidden under a distort construction of the family relationships and the behaviours of parents. Key words: IPV; shared custody; witnessing violence; CTU.
