The paper addresses the issue of employment policies evaluation and proposes a practical methodology for the implementation, in our national context, of a good evaluation practice developed in France in the period 2007-2008. Within social evaluation research, changes linked to crisis represent an ideal framework for designing potentially innovative analysis pathways. This article aims therefore at an organizational and methodological proposal for evaluating the effectiveness of policies supporting the reemployment of dismissed workers; this proposal could profitably enter the processes of transformation that, since 2009, are reshaping the Italian workfare system.
