Le aziende sanitarie stanno fronteggiandoun tema fondamentale: erogareservizi quantitativamente e qualitativamentesempre migliori a fronte dirisorse decrescenti. Gli studi di PublicManagement hanno da tempo vistonella generazione di valore pubblicouna possibile soluzione a questo problema,ma recentemente hanno contribuitoa questo dibattito anche glistudiosi di Business Model nell’intentodi fondere assieme elementi di teoria edi pratica. A tal scopo, ben si addiconoi risultati delle ricerche sul KnowledgeManagement, che stanno progressivamenteridisegnando i modi di concepirela produzione e offrire i servizi.Questo paper si colloca in tale contestoper verificare, attraverso una revisionestrutturata della letteratura, l’esistenzae la disseminazione di frameworkad hoc per le aziende sanitare,che possano risultare utili nelle sceltestrategiche delle aziende sanitarie. Irisultati della ricerca mostrano chemolto rimane ancora da fare: gli studioggi disponibili consistono perlopiuin adozioni acritiche di modelli sviluppatiper le imprese private. In conclusionesono dunque fornite delle lineeguidaper le ricerche future e alcuneindicazioni di Policy.
