In this article we introduce our holistic method as a way of approaching philosophical practices with children. Then we will explain the role that philosophy plays in this method. Philosophy makes us working with concepts. But we often forget a fundamental component at the basis of our abstraction and thought processes: our body. Our holistic method, which involves the articulation of an artistic practice with a verbal discussion, places the child's perceptual body at the heart of the processes that constitute thought. In such a philosophy-art articulation, the participants are transformed into the actors of an artistic practice in which the creative gesture of the body is the source of a philosophical inquiry.
