Inventare l'invenzione: genialità individuale e innovazione tecnologica nelle pratiche di user e producer

The article focuses on the literature on technological and organizational innovation. In particular it explores the evolution of what is defined as the starting point of innovation in the organizations. The analysis highlights an overcoming of the positions based on a mechanic view of innovations and on the stereotype of the brilliant invention and it describes the getting over of the idea that the locus of innovation can totally be included and defined as a topic referred to the organizational experience of producer and user. The development of ICT technologies has more clearly showed that these elements are not really separable. The locus of innovation becomes a relational space that, without cancelling identities and borders of user and producer, calls for a new awareness of the integration between project knowledge and practical knowledge. Both these forms of knowledge comes from a practical perspective that could be a path of a real improvement, normally not considered, as a common space provided by user/producer relationship. In the last section the article offers some operating indications for the empirical research.;
