Alcune evidenze a partire dal caso di Milano JO - SOCIOLOGIA URBANA E RURALE DA - 3/15/2008 12:00:00 AM DO - UR - http://www.francoangeli.it/Riviste/Scheda_rivista.aspx?idArticolo=32693 AU - Memo, Francesco SP - 103 EP - 122 IS - 84 VL - XXIX LA - IT AB - Since the ‘80s, real-estate development has been increasingly integrated into the new networks of global capitalism. This has been the result of changes occurred in the real-estate sector in advanced capitalist countries as well as of the imposing of the urban redevelopment as a key issue in the urban agenda. However property-led urban regeneration and large-scale development projects don’t necessarily contribute to make the urban market more complete, efficient and inclusive. The paper investigates how recent Milanese property growth affects the urban habitability, namely all those tangible and intangible resources present (and accessible) in the city and able to affect the life opportunities of people.
