The integration of the experiences of citizens with the technical capacities of architects and engineers can be a contribution for the formulation of the town plan. In the first phases of the formulation of the plan of the City of Bologna, modalities for gathering the points of view of inhabitants on the critical state and the opportunities of their territory which have brought interesting results were experimented with.
