Valutazione ambientale strategica: l’approccio del sistema di supporto alle decisioni DIVAS - Strategic Environmental Assessment has become a wide use instrument to integrate sustainability issues in policies, plans and programmes. Currently it is oriented towards a wider integration in the process of decisionmaking but practitioners still seem to approach it as an Environmental Impact Assessment applied to the PPPs level. The analysis of the literature, of the experiences of Veneto Region (Italy) and the integration with the experiences and knowledge of administrators, researchers and private firms in the Adriatic area have lead to thedevelopment of a Decision Support System (DIVAS) with the financial support of the EU-INTERREG Adriatic cross border- Adriatic new neighbourhood programme. In DIVAS some instruments were suggested, but overall it was proposed a procedure, DIVAS doesn’t mean to substitute the evaluators and the planners but to support them in reflecting on the process to evaluate the plan from ex-ante to expost.;
