Psychological intervention in a dyslipidemya out patient’s department - What presented in this article originates in the strict collaboration, within the hospital, between different professionals, doctor and psychotherapist. The intent of the authors has been to evaluate the possible presence of psychopathologic aspects among subjects affected by metabolic syndrome: by a research protocol that includes a precise medical visit, a psychological examination and psycho diagnosis test, the authors have underlined the significant incidence of depressive disorders and/or anxiety among subjects affected by metabolic syndrome. This area of research results as a still unknown field; the authors underlines the necessity of more studies and the creation of intervention protocols in which more and different professionals should be involved.
