Fear of dying - This article is about a patient affected by a Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, as a consequence of a serious drowning event. This patient shows hypochondriac symptoms connected to his anxiety. At the beginning of the treatment the patient also shows serious meta-cognition inability, which imposed a two level treatment: the first based on the processing of the traumatic event, the second based on emotion diversification and on rationalizing them. Everything is connected to the relationship between a mother and her son/daughter which doesn’t reflect the normal roles whith in the family.
