While illustrating the reasons that led the Italian Associazione di Studi su Diritto e Società to organise a meeting (Trieste, September 2009) focusing on Corporate Social Responsibility and Law’s Communication, the author first takes a short look at the question of the "ethical brand", which should be instituted by Italy’s national Parliament as a kind of promotional law. About legal communication, the author stresses that, far from being vertical, it is the true source of legal rules, if connected to the "philter" of judicial proceedings.
