Cradle of Turati’s reformism, moral and economic capital of Italy, Milan since the early years of the Twentieth century became the fertile ground for the struggle between the different tendencies of Italian socialism. The conflict between moderates and maximalists expanded to all areas of society. In the struggle against reformism grew up a revolutionary current, which in the following years would have become the "revolutionary syndicalism".
