Preventive interventions towards specific mental disorders are always multimodal strategies; brief psychotherapies are one of the ingredients of such interventions. Timelimited psychodynamic psychotherapies share the basic common ground of other psychoanalytic approaches and are effective tools into preventive settings, especially for early interventions in childhood and adolescence and for common emotional disorders.
