Moving from the outcomes of the interdisciplinary research project Self- Mapping, the paper analyzes the role of new technologies and the processes of social construction of the touristic imaginary. Moving from the mapping, the essay highlights how some prosumeristic practices can animate urban space. Storytelling, blogs and social networks contribute to transform the landscape in a significant network of places and behaviors, creating an alternative and autentic touristic imaginary.
