This study aims to assess the relational nature of perception of secure attachment within family relationship through the Social Relations Model (Kenny, 2005), together with the assessment of the so-called group, actor partner and relationship effects. To a sample of 50 families of 4 members each the Adult Attachment Scale (Collins e Read, 1990), adapted for dyadic data has been administered. The results represent a first estimate of the SRM potentials to grasp on the relational dynamics in families, and to reflect upon its possible applications.
