The evaluation of the quality of health services has become a topic of crucial importance in public policy and in the socio-health organizations called to play a proactive and participatory role in the process of innovation and improvement of their caring work. In this paper we present a research project evaluation, through the discussion of a case study carried out in a residence for elderly people, the objectives of which concerned two different levels of operation: the identification of indicators for the continuous development of the quality and the creation of effective tools for selfevaluation.
