In this pioneering study on bullying, the author analyses the bullying phenomenon in its epidemiological and psychological aspect, as well as the fundamental principles of an intervention program developed and evaluated in relation to a national campaign on the phenomenon bully-victim in Norwegian schools. The effectiveness of the treatment is analysed through the discussion of the data. The basic message of these findings is quite clear: with a suitable intervention program, it is definitelypossible to reduce dramatically bully-victim problems in school as well as related problem behaviours.
