The case study of Giuseppe Musolino - based on the historical, political, legal, forensic and psychiatric coordinates of the past century - is still of extraordinary relevance today, as it enhances reflection on the complex and yet unsolved relationship between Psychiatry and Law. The authors bring to light the human, clinical and judicial parable, strictly conditioned by the spirit of the period, to emphasize the ensuing political, forensic, psychiatric and legal epiphanies. In an article, published in 1902, in the Rivista Sperimentale di Freniatria, Augusto Tamburini comments two divergent conclusions presented by two different expert colleges of law. This paper anticipates the present-day problematic nuclei of the relationship between the two fields of study.
