This paper is about the initial phase of a groupanalysis psychotherapy. Specifi-cally the aim was to focus on some shadows of the early sessions. The question we asked ourselves was: "What happen when people meet up for the first time in a psychotherapy group which firstly exists only as an a-priori, constituted by thera-pist's intentionality?". We started our analysis from the correlation group-analysis/ contemporaneity considering past and present authors, in a continuous comparison with clinical setting. Our aim was to reflect on "sulcum primigenius" in which the foundation of the Group can be trace. Memories and momentum of these "certificates of incorporation" will remain and they will determine psychotherapy course. Recommendations about good practice addressed to (young) psychotherapists have been proposed so that, by virtue of their way of being, they could facilitate the development of therapeutic potentialities present in a group.
