This contribution is proposed as a careful thought on the function and meaning of the dream language in a Analytic Large Group. The authors start from the premise that the group in this original and unique shape differs from both the psychotherapy group and a common assembly, since it refers to a specific emotional dimension, here investigated in relation to the psychosocial dynamics (privileged expression in a Analytic Large Group) as they emerge in the dream material. After the analysis of the use of the dream in the small group, the authors dwell on the characteristics of the Analytic Large Group, going from a theoretical dimension to the exploration of the clinical material related to four different experiences of this type of group. Aim of the work is to investigate, through the meaning of dreams emerged in the group and the way in which they appear, the shared transpersonal dimension that is expressed through a Analytic Large Group and that makes understanding its connection to the social sphere, reflecting collective dynamics, historical moments and expanded cultural codes.
