To deepen the knowledge of the ‘evidence based medicine’ indications for Hypnotic Psychotherapy, this study proposes: 1) to verify the efficacy and tolerability of Hypnotic Psychotherapy in the short- and long-term treatment of patients with panic disorder and major depression; 2) to apply evaluation scales similar to those used in psychopharmacological studies; 3) to replicate in the Italian population standardized comparison methods among therapies used in international studies; 4) to suggest Hypnotic Psychotherapy as a first cost-socioeconomic effective choice in Italian guide-lines for management of main psychological stress-correlated disorders.
