The fundamental link between psyche and culture is examined starting from classical freu-dian works, then the influences of cultural differences on the formation of the unconscious are discussed, particularly Devereux’s idea of "ethnic unconscious", finally are examined the ef-fects of the relevant contemporary anthropological transformations (i.e. migrations) on psy-choanalytical theory and practice.
