The work analyze the ways in which stakeholders are involved in social science research (SS) funded under European research projects, in order to identify elements - organizational characteristics of the project, types of stakeholders, type of involvement - that can increase the likelihood of producing an impact on policy and society; it also discuss consequences of the empirical evidences for research evaluation.
