The paper analyses the community resilience into a specific urban ecosystem: historic cen-ter of Naples. Starting from the results of a sociological aimed to detect the perception of the quality of life of ancient city center inhabitants, the reflections proposed deep, morover, the capacity of citizens to respond to social problems implementing urban resilience practices, "mediated" sometimes by local non-profit organizations; sometimes through initiatives pro-posed by groups of citizens who spontaneously activate a dense network of "informal" rela-tionships.
