Social practices of energy savings and efficiency are favoured by some socio-cultural con-texts. This paper synthetizes the results deriving from 10 interviews out of 23 households liv-ing in a high energy efficient and new building (Bolzano - IT). The results define the socio-cultural context and the main elements that affect the change of social practices and energy be-haviours for ensuring a reduction of energy consumptions.
