The interest that psychoanalysis has developed since long time for the genealogical, for the theme of psychic transmission and inheritance, enabled us to put on the focus the delicate events of the family life that interfere, positively or negatively, with the individual process of subjectivation and have an important reference in the paths of identification. The author focus-es her attention on the psychoanalytical listening oriented to the recognition of the family’s psychic reality. She uses a brief clinical account in order to better illustrate her perspective of the psychoanalytical work which allows the entire family, beginning from the parents, to as-sume the responsibility of the emotions and the unconscious representations circulating in its inner space, particularly in the case of a child’s adoption.
