It is clear to the general public and especially to us health professionals who operate in the field of mental health in developmental age, that the COVID-19 pandemic, but above all the resulting social restrictions, were a detonator for the def¬lagration of mental suffering, for a large part of the youth population. Adolescents in particular appear to be the ones who are paying the highest price. There seems to have been a surge in important diagnoses such as severe mood disorders, cutting, suicide attempts, eating disorders... etc. The following interview aims to take stock of the situ¬ation of the Children’s Neuropsychiatry Hospital Services which, together with the territorial services, have been "stormed". Requests for help, hospitalization, and tak¬ing charge have clearly increased and disproportionate to the availability of beds and/or availability of values for taking charge.
The interview was granted by Dr. Ugo Sabatello who agreed to answer the questions in writing, thus personally taking care of the bibliography and the presentation format.
