This paper describes the use of My Body, a modified version of the drawing of the human figure, in the treatment of pre-adolescent and adolescent victims of violence who are in treatment at the Child Abuse and Family Therapy Centre of Milan. My Body involves the use of a shape of the human body in full scale which the patients in the therapeutic context are asked to complete. This work focuses on the principal elements used by patients in making My Body: elements which indicate the emergence of traumatic thoughts and emotions. My Body could be a valuable support in the elaboration of negative experiences because it favours the re-integration of the dissociated parts, enhancing the ability to communicate and to be confident in their own skills.

Keywords: Violence against children, drawing of the human figure, therapeutic support, self-representation.
