For these reasons, the crisis of infertility alters self-esteem and body image, resulting in feelings such as inferiority, depression and anxiety. These psychological repercussions may have an effect on male sexual function. Appropriate psychosexual counselling focused to prevention, diagnosis and treatmant of sexual dysfunctions is needed in Assisted Reproduction programs.
