The purpose of this article is to analyze the socio-demographic diversity of a group of 208 foreign students living in the town of Verona and attending the state, municipal and private schools of the town. The constantly increasing input flow, the growing percentage of foreign women and children, the new births of children with foreign passports who have taken place in our country and, finally, the entry of Romania into the European Union, that led to a rapid growth in the presence of Romanians in the Italian territory, make urgent the need to conduct studies that provide data on the integration of foreign pupils. First step to this aim is documenting the distribution of foreigners in the territory, the composition of their families, their earnings capacities, their educational qualifications, their expectations and their plans for the future.
