The article is focused on the analysis of a particular kind of accommodation: the "albergo diffuso", a typical Italian phenomenon. "Albergo diffuso" can be an intelligent solution especially in little centres because its approach is not damaging to the environmental, using pre-existent buildings (houses, farmhouses, abandoned factories, etc.). As a result the "albergo diffuso" has positive economical and social impacts on the destination typical of sustainable tourism.
