The paper describes the experience of the participatory project Valdera 2020, aimed at the setting of the Strategic Plan 2020 for the Union of Municipalities in Valdera. The contribution, in addition to a summary of the project, shows the steps followed to manage a participatory evaluation procedure (PPV). It analyses and discusses the results obtained (in terms of outputs and outcomes) and provides some considerations about the possibility to transfer the procedure adopted.

The paper describes the process of participatory evaluation developed in the project "ORTI E.T.I.C.I.", a social farming project aiming to associate production and social inclusion through the employment of people from vulnerable groups of the population. The participatory evaluation responds to the need of understanding the content and the implications of the project within and outside the network of actors involved and to learn a lesson for planning and coordinating future projects.
