In March 2024 the “National Plan of prevention to tackle Fentanyl misuse and other synthetic opioid” was published by the Minister of Health in Italy.Despite the increasing number of overdoses associated with Fentanyl misuse in other countries, such as USA and Canada, this phenomenon is still limited in Italy.Few data are available and the experience in the management of these cases is still poor in the addiction treatment services.The internet represents one of the main sources of information both in terms of scientific literature and ‘grey literature’ provided by people who use drugs.Erowid is a great example of harm reduction resource based on patients’ direct experience and scientific contributions from health professionals.

FreeLudo è un progetto innovativo che mira alla prevenzione primaria del disturbo da gioco d'azzardo (DGA), secondo la classificazione del DSM-5, rivolto a bambini di età compresa tra i 6 e gli 8 anni che frequentano la scuola primaria. Nell'ambito del progetto è stata sviluppata una piattaforma innovativa che consente un'interazione ibrida online e offline e fornisce ai bambini questionari volti a comprendere meglio i potenziali fattori di rischio per lo sviluppo del DGA. L’interazione online consiste nella somministrazione di questionari attraverso un semplice e breve video gioco; al termine di quest’ultimo, la piattaforma propone anche l'interazione sociale tra i bambini assegnando loro sfide e attività sociali. Questa strategia mira a rafforzare le competenze sociali e la consapevolezza dei rischi legati al gioco d'azzardo in età precoce, fungendo al contempo da strumento di monitoraggio per l'identificazione di comportamenti potenzialmente a rischio. Nel presente articolo vengono esposti i risultati preliminari emersi dalla fase iniziale di test della piattaforma, condotta su un campione rappresentativo di bambini di età compresa tra i 6 e gli 8 anni, frequentanti una scuola primaria della provincia di Taranto (Puglia, Italia).

Throughout the 19th century, the Renaissance-Risorgimento relationship was viewed in a twofold contradictory manner: the cultural grandeur of the Renaissan- ce as the premise for the political redemption of the Risorgimento or the Risorgimento as transcending the political and moral decadence of the Renaissance age. The Author expounds the stance of three particularly representative scholars (Vincenzo Gioberti, Bertrando Spaventa, Francesco De Sanctis), pointing out their different perspectives on the role of figures such as Machiavelli and Giordano Bruno. He concludes by po- sing the question as to the need to go beyond this national unification standpoint. In his view, the persisting tendency to see Machiavelli as the symbolic figure of the Renais- sance in Italy is inadequate and he proposes someone like Lorenzo Vallo or Giovanni Pico della Mirandola as an alternative. They are much closer to Erasmus of Rotterdam, the best expression of the Renaissance at a European level.

The Author critically discusses the theoretical assumptions underlying Nicolai Hartmann’s 1933 The Problem of Spiritual Being. The Author deals with the main categorial problems involved in the Hartmannian discussion about the spiritual being, also looking at his previous production. In particular, the Author analyzes the position of the ontic level of spiritual being with respect to the previous three real ontic levels (inorganic, organic, psychological) and the mutual relationship between the three fundamental forms of spiritual being identified by Hartmann (personal, objective, objectified). The Author believes that the 1933 volume has been poorly considered in its direct links with the overall project of critical ontology.

In his Commentary on the first Book of Sentences (d. 43, q. 2, red. B), Durand of Saint Pourçain (1270-­1334) poses the question regarding the divine possibility of producing infinite actual things, contributing to the debate about the divine power of creating what is considered to be contradictory (actual infinity). Taking into account the philosophical and theological sources of Durand’s Commentary on the issue, the article focuses on his accurate solution to the problem of God’s production of actual infinites by analysing some arguments such as that of the production of the individuals of a species, like the souls, as well as the argument of the divisibility of the continuum and the original assumption of the commensurability of infinite quantities. The article shows that for Durand God cannot create an actual infinite, but only a potential one.
