The paper illustrates the results of a qualitative research conducted in fourteen residential care services for minors in Friuli Venezia Giulia. First of all, the survey was made in order to un-derstand how accommodated children and adolescents and their educators have faced the Covid-19 pandemic, secondly to learn about which consequences the containment measures and isolation have had on their health, learning and relations, and finally to learn which impli-cations have had on the service’s organisation and on the educational intervention. What has been pointed out from the interviews realised with some of the communities’ educators is an impressive adaptability among children and adolescents and a considerable flexibility and crea-tivity from the educators and their organizations. These residential care services show that they have been able to cope with the emergency efficiently, creating an environment which was able to mitigate the possible negative consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic on these accommo-dated children and adolescents and eventually to promote improvement processes.
