The authors explore in depth the etiopathogenic, clinical, electroencephalographic and prognostic aspects of the two syndromes and confirm the role they play in causing cognitive damages and behavioral decline, stressing the importance of a timely and effective pharmacological intervention by controlling seizures and improving the growth outcome.
