Psychotherapists are more and more interested in the results of micro-analysis, but the question of their clinical use remains open. Harrison makes original reflections on this matter and directly presents her way of working with the help of two different case histories. In the first one she can easily build with her little patient a shared basis for starting and developing a therapeutic dialogue. In the second case, instead, words lack a non-verbal support and the initial results are minimal. The author shows, however, that the analyst is flexible and capable of meeting her patient where she needs to be met and manages to create some basic patterns of shared attention. What is present in both cases is her ability to direct and let herself be directed by the flow of the system, trusting this peculiar and decisive form of bipersonal creativity.
